About me…
I think I was born with a glue-stick in my hand! For as long as I can remember, I've always been making "stuff". My mother was good at all things crafty: cooking, sewing, knitting. I have six sisters and they're always working on some sort of project.
I started my blog, wishthimble in 2005. It's super daggy. Just a space where I can blog about craft, books and life.
About my square…
My square is embroidered by hand using 2 and sometimes three strands of embroidery floss. In order to make the deadline, I had to take my square on holiday to New Zealand - which was fine until I found myself in a tiny town with no red thread! But of course, all old fashioned towns have at least one place where you'll find a ball of wool, needles and yes, red thread.
I dreamt up the design but I was inflected by lots of Japanese images - the duck just seemed to appear!
Find me…

This is so beautiful! I love your design :) K
Beautiful! The duck gives it a Leunig-esque whimsy I believe!!
Whimsical, yes. I like the hearts on strings.
